CLIFTON IS READY TO WELCOME BOYS BACK TO CAMPUS

COVID-19 – Return to School – Term 3

Our systems and protocols related to a safe return to school for our staff and boys were all in place when school re-opened on Tuesday. A great deal of time, thought and effort has gone into this process and Clifton aims to exceed the compliance expectations put in place by the Department of Education. Last term we were visited by the Department of Health and we received glowing feedback on our COVID-19 protocols, policies and procedures.

However, we cannot become complacent. COVID cases are rising in all national centres and are inevitable in our community. As such we require everyone to be observant of all measures in place to reduce the risk to our boys’, staff and parents. The systems in place are only as good as the people using them. We urge all to continue to support and encourage our boys, lest we become complacent and unable to operate as effectively as we can in our common fight against COVID-19. This includes the measures that are in place at home, to limit the spread of the virus.

At the end of each school week, Clifton will update the community regarding positive case numbers across the school. This is not to raise concern, but rather to raise awareness. In this respect, we remain in direct contact with the Department of Health and take their advice. It is important not to ‘stigmatise’ COVID-19 and this has been discussed with all boys across the Prep and the College.
