Your son will find a welcoming and supportive home at Clifton College, where we combine tradition and pastoral care with a modern boarding model in our state-of-the-art boarding house.
With the reintroduction of boarding at Clifton, the school aimed to provide a space free from old-fashioned traditions and negative hierarchies. The focus was on supporting each boy in a uniquely warm, welcoming and comforting environment.
Our weekly boarding, running from Monday to Friday night, allows boys to enjoy a grounded and balanced lifestyle. They have the opportunity to learn, play, and grow in a modern boarding house that reflects the 21st century.

Our boarders embody the larger school ethos of being proudly South African. They prioritise meaningful actions over superficial recognition. Their time at Centenary House will equip them with the confidence and abilities to make valuable contributions to their community.

With the help of our dedicated staff, our boarders thrive in the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere of the house. We place a strong emphasis on compassion and urge our boarders to show empathy and kindness towards one another as brothers in the house they share.
