About the Clifton
school of music
The Clifton School of Music is a treasure trove of creativity, self-expression, and community. Not only does it provide students with a platform to develop their musical talents, but it also fosters teamwork, discipline, and confidence. Research has shown that music education can have a profound impact on cognitive development, memory, and academic performance.
The Clifton School of Music offers a dedicated Ensemble rehearsal space, three class music teaching rooms as well as seven individual practice rooms.
Instruments are taught by highly skilled, professional musicians – many of whom are members of the esteemed KZN Philharmonic Orchestra. The instruments taught are piano, guitar, violin, double bass, electric bass, trumpet, trombone, French horn, clarinet, flute and Drumkit. Voice training is also offered.
By supporting our music department, we are investing in the well-rounded education and personal growth of our students, and enriching our school community with the beauty and joy of music.
