MATHEMATICS/ MATHEMATICAL LITERACY TEACHER

GRADES 8 – 12

(to commence duty Term 2 of 2024)

The ideal candidate will:

  • be an appropriately qualified and experienced teacher
  • have registered with SACE
  • IEB experience an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • have experience in curriculum development, or sound knowledge of the curriculum
  • be energetic, positive and creative
  • must be prepared to play a full and active role in the co-curricular life of the school

Clifton School invites applications for the following post:

PRINT ROOM ASSISTANT

(to commence duty Term 1 of 2024)

Duties will include:

  • responsibility for bulk printers in the printing room
  • assisting with printing of exam papers, programmes for events, including binding and stapling
  • laminating tasks as required by the teachers from time to time
  • shredding in terms of POPIA
  • arranging for maintenance of the printers and the procurement of supplies for the print room
  • other basic administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • previous experience in a similar junior administrative role and/or ability to assist where required.

Clifton School invites applications for the following post: 

ASSISTANT BURSAR

(to commence duty January 2024 or as soon as possible)

Duties will include:

  • General ledger account and bank reconciliations, and period-end entries
  • Assisting with the preparation of the School management accounts and
    budgets
  • Responsibility for the Foundation books, including management accounts
  • Managing the financial aspect of School Tours
  • Payroll input and management

Requirements:

  • Commerce graduate, with 5 years accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Pastel Accounting and VIP
  • High level of computer literacy, including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a broader team, and to strict deadlines

The Prep School invites applications for the following posts: 

FOUNDATION PHASE TEACHER & GRADE HEAD 1-3

(to commence duty Term 1 or Term 2 of 2024)

The successful candidate will be an experienced and well-qualified teacher who holds an appropriate degree, a professional teaching qualification and is registered with SACE.  Previous experience in independent education is an advantage but is not essential.  This role includes managerial responsibility as Head of Grades 1,2 and 3.  In addition, the applicant will:

  • Be well-versed in curriculum and assessment for the Foundation Phase.
  • Be energetic and creative.
  • Have a sound understanding of the Foundation Phase child.
  • Be able to interact positively with both staff and parents
