OUR GLOBAL
PARTNERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

At Clifton School, we understand our connection to the broader world, recognising that global unity is the key for a peaceful future built on understanding and acceptance. With this vision in mind, we have established partnerships with schools worldwide in a mutual exchange programme open to Grade 10 students.

Our Mission

To develop the spirit of internationalism at Clifton School through a global network of partnership schools.

Our Ethos

Our ethos is centred on the holistic approach to the education of boys and this forms the basis of our international programmes.

Our Boys

It has always been, and will always be, about our boys. We’re passionate about the education of boys and providing them with a realistic view of the world – one boy at a time. We care deeply about this; our work is never done!

OUR PARTNERS

Clifton School is connected to schools around the world through a network of partnerships. Our partners are chosen based on their alignment with the values and ethos of Clifton.

At Clifton College, we offer two options as part of our International Programmes, allowing boys to choose between
attending a youth summit or participating in a formal exchange.

Youth Summits

Youth Summits are intensive 10-day programmes offered by host schools. These summits involve a group of 4 boys accompanied by a teacher. The programme focuses on a theme, and the groups each prepare symposium papers and presentations for the summit. There is also a cultural component where delegations showcase their country through dance, cuisine, and music.

Summits bring together delegations from different countries, giving the boys an opportunity to interact with a diverse group of young people and make lasting friendships. Host schools often organise field trips to historical sites. Currently we are invited to summits in the USA, France, Singapore, India, and Romania.

Formal Exchange

Our formal exchange programmes on the other hand offer our boys the opportunity to experience a new culture from a local perspective. They attend the hosting school, participate in the daily life of a youngster in that country, and stay with a local family. Exchanges usually last three to five weeks.

Exchange partners: France, USA, Australia, Colombia, Switzerland
