Grades 8 – 12
At Clifton, we have been dedicated to shaping well-rounded boys for over a century. We are cognisant of the fact that we are responsible for preparing boys to enter and lead in a dynamic, interconnected and exciting world. Clifton has continued to evolve over the years and remains committed to educating the whole boy – in mind, in body, and in spirit.
Boys are encouraged to think creatively, to take intellectual risks, collaborate, to question, to explore and to make the most of every opportunity on offer at our school. Our educational philosophy is underpinned by the pillars of scholarship, leadership, sportsmanship, and community, which our boys live by each day.
In every setting – be it the classroom, the stage, or the sports field – our boys work in an environment of excellence and rigour. We motivate every boy to involve himself fully in the life of the school, and to make the most of every opportunity Clifton College has to offer.
Clifton College boys are confident.
A BALANCED,
INNOVATIVE EDUCATION
A BALANCED
INNOVATIVE
EDUCATION
Small classes provide each boy with individual attention and care from experienced teachers. Stimulating environments and advanced technology provide a learning space that encourages boys to achieve their best results. The use of independent, innovative, modern and creative methodologies mean our boys are exposed to an academic programme which constantly challenges them and delivers outstanding results.
Clifton boys write the Independent Examination Board (IEB) examinations at the end of Grade 12, preparing them well for the challenges of tertiary education. The IEB, is a globally recognised and respected, ethical assessment agency based in Africa, that guarantees quality education through their assessments. We believe that the IEB’s National Senior Certificate – a recognised, internationally-benchmarked, matric qualification – equips our boys to succeed in any South African university, and it opens doors to tertiary institutions worldwide.
We know that our boys will be living in a global environment.
We are committed to walking this educational journey with them as they become young men of significance.
